Fall 2016

English 2600 is a high intensity introduction to literature. Britney Stephenson has created an elaborate way of introducing the basics of literature while focusing on important concepts, like literary criticism, analysis, types of rhetoric, and literary elements. Throughout this course, we have studied a variety of literature including poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. For each section, Professor Stephenson focused our main projects around analyzing and critiquing each type of literature. Each of my analyses are included in my English 2600 portfolio, as well as my favorite projects and discussion topics.

English 2010 is a rapid paced, intermediate writing course. Beth Bailey takes each of her students on an exciting journey through different forms of rhetoric. In this class, we focused not only on writing, but also different types of modern rhetoric used to convey a message. At the beginning of the semester, Professor Bailey asked the class to decide on one social justice issue to focus all of our coursework around. All of our work led up to our final group Magazine Project. Included in my English 2010 portfolio are my drafts, notebook posts, and final projects that were all focused around the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Math 1030

Math 1030 is a basic quantitative reasoning course. Throughout this course, Kathryn Eppler provided a lesson plan based around understand and interpreting data, understanding finance, and many other basic mathematical concepts. Many of the more intensive sections were paired with written assignments, which are displayed in my ePortfolio.
